Bong Spirit is a Dutch vodka brand with a one-liter bottle shaped like a bong—no disguise, all shelf presence.
I was one of the first artists brought in for the brand’s launch, creating a limited-edition bottle for the Bong Spirit Artist Series—a collectible run alongside their more dialed-back core packaging.
My role was to turn the attitude up to eleven—and still give you something to sit with: playful at first glance, then deeper the longer you hold it.

“The Journey of Life,” from my first solo gallery exhibit, shows a sumo wrestler suspended mid-air, clinging to a string of helium balloons.
It’s about the illusion of control—how hard we plan, push, and steer… and how often life says, “cute.” The balloons carry the weight of our hopes: fragile, ridiculous, and somehow still enough to lift us.
There’s no single answer here. Bring yours.

The Bong Spirit Artist Series featured packaging designs from four artists (including me). Each box was packed at random—so opening one felt less like buying a bottle and more like getting dealt a card.
The limited-edition lineup is shown here.
